About

Hi! I’m Diana (DLP), and I’m excited you’ve found my website. My interdisciplinary interests in the natural world, linguistics, and speculative fiction have shaped my career and creative journey.

I currently specialize as a geoscience educator. My passion for public speaking and sharing my complex technical knowledge of ancient life on Earth to diverse audiences combine to create engaging learning experiences. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a Master’s of Science in Geology from California State University, Long Beach, with over 15 years of experience in delivering both synchronous and asynchronous content in the virtual and physical classroom.

I bring innovation to all my creative projects. My first self-published novel, Iara’s Crossing, blends a compelling narrative with intense emotional stakes and fantastic world-building. I’m recognized in online spaces for not only my writing projects, but also my expertise in customizing vintage toys. I enjoy breathing new life into old things–nostalgia and 90s design aesthetics combine in my stories and products. I’ve honed my technical skills through moderating online forums, playing music (as a violinist) and mastering various Sonic the Hedgehog games on retro platforms like the Sega Genesis and Dreamcast. I enjoy weaving these tech driven experiences with my expertise in various art forms to develop new ways of problem solving, create awesome things and provide unforgettable experiences with clients all over the world.

I’m extremely passionate about global exploration, and I’m an advocate for accessible living spaces and travel via public transit. Visiting Australia and China have expanded my understanding of these necessary global trends and the importance of knowledge-sharing across borders. I currently live in Orange County, California with my chatty cat, Mochi.
